Leaving the beautiful, historic village of Lusignac, Dordogne
I was driving home on a summer's evening and this view caught my eye. I rushed home at lightning speed, or as fast as my little car would go on narrow country roads, rushed back and caught this image.

Hoorah, I've received a Liebster Blog Award!
Today was a great day for me!!! I am so happy!! I have received the "Liebster Blog Award" from my sweet and talented friend Alegria Do Papel. Check out her mixed media art! She is so talented!!
This award is given to bloggers who inspire you and have less than 200 followers. The Liebster Award takes it’s name from the German word meaning Beloved, Dearest or Favorite.
I am very honoured to receive it! Thank you Alegria!
As part of the tradition it is passed along to 5 bloggers that have motivated and inspired you.
To accept the award you must:
1. Link back to the person who gave it to you and thank them
2. Post the award to your blog
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers
that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the 5 blogs to let them know that they have been offered this award.
It was really hard to choose only 5 inspiring blogs:
Liza Hurst
Lara Bradley
Oliver Weber

Designer chic
Chickens seem to be very popular, so I've had a bit of fun here with my series of chics. I've made a mold and they're cast in plaster, so moving into new realms for me. I've been able to find the feathers from my "collection" when I was involved in bridal wear, as well as scouring the fields of friends and neighbours who have exotic birds and regular farm chickens.

Globe trotter
She's already checking out the travel guide for the next place to visit. A very kind lady I met at an exhibition months ago, mentioned that she had a couple of bags of pieces of fabric. A couple of weeks ago she dropped them off at the Gallery Contemporain, to which I belong, without even leaving a phone number for me to call and thank. This figure is resting on a piece. I've met so many very kind and thoughtful people over here. This figure is using a piece to lie on. SOLD

Gardening in the wind
I've done some work with a plaster base and my gardener in the wind is one example. I think I managed to get the effect of the wind pretty well.
eco taxi
What could be more ecological than getting to work on this form of transport!! This delightful couple have been sold.

The constant gardener 2
I have made this constant gardener relaxing, sitting on a wall and looking over her domaine, enjoying her gardening and all the work and effort she's put into it over the time. She has three little birds hiding in her hair and a frog cheekily checking out the scenery.

The constant gardener
My constant gardener is 127cm tall, mixed media and I just love her. Her hair springs forth from the centre of her hat and she has all sorts of interesting birds and even a cat in the garden on her hat. A source of constant observation and discovery, just like my garden. SOLD

Extreme sports
I've done something new here placing the sculptures in a frame so that they can be hung on a wall. The two ladies are exceptionally good rock climbers - note the pockets for the powder, the rope and they're both stretching to reach the fasteners lodged in the rock. Rather them than me, but they certainly are having fun. The frame is 53 X 53 cm

Farniente, which means doing absolutely nothing!
I envy her, with nothing to do! She is 35 X 19 cm, plaster covered with paper mache. The only colour being the beach chair supporting her back.
