The constant gardener 2

I have made this constant gardener relaxing, sitting on a wall and looking over her domaine, enjoying her gardening and all the work and effort she's put into it over the time. She has three little birds hiding in her hair and a frog cheekily checking out the scenery.

Farniente, which means doing absolutely nothing!

I envy her, with nothing to do! She is 35 X 19 cm, plaster covered with paper mache. The only colour being the beach chair supporting her back.

She loves me, she loves me not

I've added a red ribbon around her waist and prefer her like this.

Is he proposing, or is she just allergic to flowers? For this sculpture I started with paper mache, then plaster and then a thin layer of paper mache, followed by several layers of acrylic paint. The only colour is in the flowers. The sculpture is 80 X 50 cm

Little red acrobat

I've been working flat out making some new sculptures and also painting a few new works as I have a one man, or in this case, woman exhibition from the 17th September in a beautiful mill, which is also the tourist office in Tocane a charming village near us.

Another smaller acrobat. These little ladies are very popular as one can hang them on the beams without having to look for space upon which to display them.

SOLD

Front view of my bigger acrobat

Back view of the red acrobat

This acrobat is a great deal bigger than the other ones and I used a wire frame for her, which turned out a far more difficult way of doing things. She turned out well though with a very elegant, athletic shape and lovely hair cascading down all held together with a red flower! She is 70cm long and has an adjustable cord suspending her. She is for sale for 300 euros

The tea party

Isn't this just how everyone pours a cup of tea especially at a tea party. I was inspired by Amy who was explaining how the Turks pour tea into a glass balanced on the foot. This was my version. She is taller than most of my sculptures and measures 72 X 62 cm and costs 350 euros

SOLD

Cellist

I've done a group of three musicians. The cellist is 33X30 cm
